March 9-16, 2013. This was one of our best family vacations ever! All the pictures of the house and property are 100% accurate. One of the best things about this house was Elda & Elder. Elda’s cooking was amazing and Elder was very helpful in providing assistance with local places to go and see. The house had everything that we needed. Blow dryers were provided in every bathroom. They even had a bottle water dispenser. We were able to plug our cell phones and laptops into the outlets without any converters and did not have any issues. It is about a 2 hour drive south from Cancun. We used “Easy Way” car rental which was located just outside the airport. You’ll definitely need a car when staying here, since it is conveniently located between Akumal and Tulum beach towns. The house had a guest book with lots of tips and places to visit. We use it and left lots of notes, too. We went snorkeling to Cenote Dos Ojos and visited the Tulum ruins. Great snorkeling except we had to wear wet suits since the water temp was only 74 degrees….too chilly for us Virginians! Would highly recommend this house and can’t wait to go back!!

This house was fabulous! We stayed 9 days and we were very pleased with the house and the staff. Elda and Elder were the best! They were both so friendly and helpful and Elda’s guacamole and pico were the bomb! When we arrived she had fresh guac and pico waiting on us. She has a full menu for those that would like her to cook and she’ll even go to the store to get the food (you pay of course). We had her perpare breakfast one morning and it was delicious. It was very convenient having them handy (they live in the guest hous). One night we went out and forgot to lock the back door but Elder had our backs and locked everything up before he retired for the night. They don’t have much crime in the area (gated community) but it’s best not to tempt. All in all it was a great vacation and we would def recommend Case Escocesa!

In the fifteen years we have been coming to Mexico on vacation this was by far the best experience we have ever had. The location the amenities and Elder and Elda were the best ever. Our expectations were far in away exceeded. We will be back!
