We chose Villa Serenity for our vacation. Although we got out quite a bit, we were always just as happy to stay in for a day and spend time on the property. The villa easily accommodated 4 adults and two kids and was especially great for the youngest (4yo and 2yo) as it offered both the beach and the pool. We felt like we spent a week in heaven!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Serenity. The house was nicer than the pictures show and the beach area was absolutely beautiful. Would love to go back again in the future

We were very pleased with the location of Villa Serenity; Akumal is a 5-minute drive, Tulum is 15 minutes, several cenotes or adventure parks are within 20 or 30 minutes, 10 minutes to secluded Xcacel Beach. It’s about 1-1/4 hour drive from the Cancun airport (assuming no policia delays!). The beach was long and wide with easy entry into the water and well protected by the reef. There is great snorkelling from about 100 ft in front of the villa. We could even see the occasional stingray patrolling the shoreline from our shower! We walked all the beaches in the area and felt the beach/sea in front of the villa had the best combination of everything. The villa comes with an awesome propane BBQ (we had been told we’d have a charcoal BBQ when I inquired, so this was a nice surprise), but no oven, which ended up not being a problem at all. The kitchen is very well supplied … even lots of plastic storage containers for left-overs (from Chef Daveed’s dinner) or lunches. Beds were comfortable, lots of ceiling fans and A/C in the bedrooms, which we did need since it was very hot (mid May) while we were there … despite the fabulous cross-ventilation in the upstairs bedrooms. Lots of storage space for those planning a long stay. My only (tiny) beef is that the pot lighting in the living room either has no switch, or they are all burned out. Not sure that we would have used them as there are other lights in the room and the natural light was ample during the daytime. We requested a broom so that we could keep the sand away from the door between cleanings, but that didn’t materialize so we splurged ($1.20 CDN) and bought one for the villa. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend this villa, and would stay there again if we return to the area. As an aside, Chedraui in Playa del Carmen carries normal milk. Do look for the coolers in the bakery section for a stack of their freshly mad

second stay at Villa Serenity and third stay on Aventuras Akumal. Would probably go back again sometime, as this villa offers excellent value. Couple minor details that were rectified once our Logo Gringo rep came by including no TV – quickly hooked up along with a few items needing some attention. Place could stand a little fixing up, but nothing too major, as the beach has always been our priority. Even got the chance to help a newly hatched tortuga make it to the sea! Awesome! The night-time guard was difficult to locate when we arrived (after 7:00 pm), but eventually found him on the beach-side – kind of annoying, but good to know there’s a guard there every night.

our family of 5 loved everything: the house (villa serenity), the location (quiet beach), the beach (raked sand every morning), the sea and the pool. i will note that in march there is seagrass but the water was crystal clear once you swam past it.
