Kristin Busse Knows Exactly What She Is Still Doing In Cancun

Kristin Busse
In 2001, Kristin Busse had the idea to move to Mexico for a year. She had previously vacationed in Cancun and she loved the place. So, Cancun is where she ended up. To get by, she rented a room, taught English and at night taught salsa dancing for the low, low price of tequila and tips. She had intended to wear through her countless pairs of salsa shoes anyway. One night, she met a Cuban. She didn’t know it then but he eventually became her husband and the father of her son. She is currently working at an all-inclusive eco-lodge, writing as the local Cancun expert for USA Today’s “10Best,” and putting together monthly blog posts for her loyal readers. Loco Gringo Podcast
