Best Spots To Celebrate

Kitchen Table Tulum

The “Posada” is the Mexican party that anticipates Christmas and New Year´s Eve, or at least that is the formal definition but we basically call posada to every party we throw during December and that includes; delicious food, piñata, cake, dancing, singing, more delicious food, people embarrassing themselves and fireworks. We basically spend the entire year celebrating for no reason so as you can imagine, this season just set us free to party under any excuse!

The best restaurants and bars we recommend to spend Christmas and New Years Eve are; LolHa Restaurant, La Lunita Restaurant and Turtle Bay Cafe in Akumal. Oscar And Lalo´s is the perfect options if you are staying in Aventuras Akumal or closer to Tankah-Tulum area.  Kitchen Table, Restaurare, Casa Jaguar, Hartwood and Casa Gaviota are the best places to celebrate in Tulum.

Posadas And Events

Christmas Puerto Morelos

There are private celebrations at each restaurant and bar in every town. Most of the places arrange DJ´s or singers, dancing, a delicious buffet and all you can drink. As an extra tip we invite you to check the municipality parks in every town (Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Puerto Morelos, etc.), they have been decorated with the most beautiful Christmas trees and lights. Here are also some of the local/cultural events happening in Riviera Maya during December:
